FIRST is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded by Dean Kamen in 1989, devoted to inspiring young people for a passion in science, technology, engineering and math through mentor-based programs that inspire innovation and foster well-rounded life skills in self-confidence, communication and leadership.
